Hello Everyone!

We have some exciting new changes for Totus Tuus and how the First Friday layout is planned, and they will provide more flexibility for everyone who participates. Some wonderful moms have taken some leadership roles to execute this!

The vision is to have a Feast Day theme (or liturgical theme) on each First Friday, with the various ages at different activity tables in the PLC. We are asking that the parents volunteer to lead a ‘table’ on various months (or if you prefer to take all the spots for one age that is great!). For example, March may be St Patrick related, and each respective group will have a planned activity (Toddler, K-4, 5-8, High school) so we need 4 different volunteers to lead a group in March.

There will also be a mom who leads a “mom” area during the First Friday activities, a field trip coordinator, the park day coordinator, service project coordinator, etc. If there is an area you would like to see added please let us know!

Please send me an email or reply if you plan on rejoining this coming year. And payments can be mailed to Shauna Occhipinti or done through PayPal from our site. If you go to the Register page and choose the correct Buy Now button, you can pay without having to re-register.

After you “re-join” please go to the Volunteer Sign-Up page and volunteer for an area. In the volunteer area I have broken down the First Friday age groups into 9 opportunities each, this is the break down of the 9 months of Totus Tuus meetings. For example if you pick #1 in the Toddler group you are agreeing to lead an activity for the toddlers on the Sept First Friday.  That way you can volunteer for a single day instead of the entire year (and mix it up a bit).

This is going to be a great year and we are excited for the changes coming! We are currently in need of a Treasurer if anyone would like to volunteer for that position. Thank you all and God bless you this summer!

Sign Up to host a table at the First Annual Homeschool Curriculum & Book Sale! (Or just save the date so you can come shop) Share the flyer with every homeschool family you know!

We are inviting interested families to attend co-op on March 5, 12, or 19 from 11:30-12:30pm and stay for lunch. Prior sign up is required. Spaces are limited and will fill quickly. If you would like to attend please email me at augustaga@catholicschoolhouse.com. Join us to see what the only Catholic Co-Op in the area is all about!

Family registration prices for next year will increase after March 15th, so register early to avoid being placed on our waitlist.

Our parent information meetings for Tour II are as follows, all are encouraged to attend.
Grammar level (prek- 6th) April 9th @ 7pm
Upper level (7th- 12th) April 16th @ 7pm

Just a reminder – tomorrow is our first First Friday of the New Year! See you all at mass and in the PLC after!

This is the info for the First Friday in November. We will meet for Mass and Benediction, as usual. After that, we will meet in the PLC for breakfast. Please have your children dress up as Saints of their choice. Also, have them wear an index card around their neck on string so everyone can read who they are. We will have a parade of the Saints, and then they will come in the room, one-at-a-time and present (in a few sentences) what their Saint is known for or why they are a Saint. Then, they will sit and listen to the rest of the kids say theirs. Then, the group leaders will do the activities/games they have planned with the children. I have Rena Rawlins as the leader of the little kids, up to grade 5, I believe. I have Dianne Kohler doing the middle school, and I have Beckie and Damon Williams with the high schoolers. If you want easy costume ideas, look on www.catholicicing.com. Looking forward to seeing everyone again! If you would like to, please have your food be Saint themed, and if you can make a little table tent saying which Saint, that would be great. If you don’t have time for this, that’s fine too! Just come and have fun! Sorry, I don’t know how to set up the food sign-ups, so please bring whatever you like and we’ll make it work! Blessings, Kathy

I am going to be out of town in Charleston for another doctor’s appointment with Travis, so I need HELP! Can someone take the middle school age kids, either to play a game inside or out…? I can send you my ideas, they enjoyed the word game last month… but new ideas are welcome!

I am wanting to organize a group to attend the Augusta Players performance of School House Rock at the end of the month. For those in the co-op it would be a great addition to the month! Just let me know if you are interested and I will make a reservation. It is $7 a person
